Introduction

The purpose of this Statement of Faith is to provide a clear and honest summary of my present understanding of Christian doctrine as derived from Scripture. While many statements of faith are intentionally brief and broad, I have chosen to provide additional detail in several areas. I believe it is beneficial to be transparent about my convictions with both honesty and clarity.

My intention is not to be argumentative or divisive, but rather to communicate my convictions openly so that others may understand the theological framework from which I teach, preach, and minister.

I also recognize that I do not possess perfect knowledge or understanding. Spiritual formation and theological growth are lifelong processes, and I remain a student of God’s Word. As such, this document should not be viewed as an infallible declaration but as a reflection of my present convictions. I remain committed to the authority of Scripture above personal tradition, preference, or opinion, and I welcome thoughtful, biblical engagement from fellow believers.

I believe that faithful Christians can hold differing views on a variety of doctrinal matters while still affirming one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. For that reason, not every position expressed in this document should be understood as a test of fellowship. In some cases, I have included detailed explanations simply because I believe honesty requires me to disclose where I stand, even when I recognize that other sincere believers may reach different conclusions.

It is therefore my hope that this statement will serve not only as a declaration of faith but also as a framework for constructive discussion, correction, and encouragement from trusted peers, pastors, teachers, and elders. Where my understanding is incomplete, I desire to learn. Where my conclusions are incorrect, I desire to be corrected by the Word of God. And where my convictions align with Scripture, I pray they would strengthen both my own faith and the faith of others.

Above all, this statement is offered in a spirit of humility, recognizing that truth belongs to God alone and that every believer is called to pursue it faithfully, prayerfully, and with a willingness to be taught. My desire is not to win arguments, but to know God more fully, to understand His Word more accurately, and to live in faithful obedience to the truth He has revealed.

I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and serves as the final authority for faith and practice. Through Scripture, God reveals His character, His plan of salvation, and His will for humanity.

Salvation & The New Birth

The Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and those who place their faith in Him enter the New Birth through repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit as taught in Acts 2:38.
