A couple of months ago (last year to be exact). I wrote the exam for upgrading my Amateur Radio license from Novice to General. I had written the exam in the hopes of getting a feel for what to study in the hopes of writing it this year. To my surprise, I passed the exam and applied for my upgrade.
I have just been issued my new license and call sign – I am no longer J66DL but now J69LL.
